A most road: 10 Best sites / Blogs to Follow About Android Apps and Reviews, If You are a Tech Fanatic

Unlike anyone else, when you bought yourself a new product say cell phone, you most likely want to explore its potentials. So I was going through my new Infinix Hot X507 from Konga, I decided to try the same tricks I used in my Tecno Phone to take screenshots, to my best of surprise it worked.

So, all you need to do to capture the current screen is to hold down the power button and lower volume button of the Infinix Phone simultaneously until you hear a click sound. Thereafter, a "saving screenshot" will appear at the notification bar of the phone. The images from the screen shots you've taken will automatically save in the "screenshots" folder in the Picture Gallery app. From there, you can view, edit and deletes the ones you don't need. You can do way with whatever you deserve to with the images from the screen shots.

Here's a merged photos from screenshots of my Infinix X507.

On:→9:04:00 am With → Leave a Comment
Since the arrival of Smartphones in 2009, Nokia has not fared to well. The company had been hugely relying on its Symbian platform that seams pre historic compared to features offered by Android and iOS or any other platform of today. However the company's biggest gamble since its inception i.e. opting for Windows mobile platform has done the, well. Their high end phones ; the Nokia Lumia 920 and 1520 give tough competition to the likes of iPhone and Samsung's galaxy series but Nokia is virtually nonexistent in the mid or lower end market which is dominated by Htc and Samsung. To capture share in the lower end smartphone market Nokia released the Lumia 620.
Review of Nokia Lumia 620

Review Nokia Lumia 620

The Nokia 620 is an excellent phone, a crippled version of it's two bigger cousins the Nokia 920 and 1520. It may luck the cutting edge feature of a high end feature phone but it wont make you feel crippled for sure. We are going o look into its features in detail.

Form factor:

It  weighs just 127g and  measures ( 4.54x2.41x0.43 in). you can hardly feel it in your jeans' pocket which is quite handy for a phone. The bezels around display are pretty thin and the device is a joy to hold. The device comes in 6 attractive colors and is really well built with matte finishing and definitely does not feel cheap. The controls are pretty comfortable with easy to reach volume rocker buttons and camera button on right and power on/off button on top. The micro sd slot and the sim slot are beneath the back cover. The back cover also hides the 1300 mAh  battery which does a decent joband gives 12 hours of backup on 2g connection.

Connectivity:

Features a micro sim with:-
  • GENERAL 2G Network GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900
  •  3G Network HSDPA 850 / 900 / 1900 / 2100

It also feature a class B Gprs with HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps  and  Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band. A 3.0 Bluetooth and NFC completes the connectivity. The set offers almost evry type of connectivity available.

Display:

The 620 features  a 16M color display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels(246 ppi) which is brilliant for a phone of its caliber. The screen displays vivid colus with deep black, thanks to Nokia's ClearBlack display technology. The display qaulity is great even in bright sunlight.

Specifications:

The 620 is shipped with Windows phone  8  platform. The WP8 on Nokia Lumia phones is more attractive than other phones with a  number of noticeable features. The worst thing about WP8 is a lack of apps but if you don't have a big appetite for apps, you would find no reason to dislike the platform.
It runs on a Dual core 1 Ghz Krait processor with Adreno 305 gpu and would run light and mild games without any lag. The set also features a GLONASS A-GPS chip on board and a compass, accelerometer and a proximity meter.

Camera:

The 5 megapixel autofocus camera on board does well for a mid-range phone and captures decent stills at 2592x 1936 pixels.  The LED flash illuminates picture thoroughly. The camera also captures videos  t 720p @30fps which is satisfactory. The secondary Vga camera is great for video calls and obviously selfies.

Conclusion

The Nokia 620 is great mid range device and fends of competition from the likes of htc 8s and galaxy ace series by Samsung.  A device that gives a complete package in minimal price  without compromising on quality, the Nokia 620 is one of the best mid ra

Google Android Device Manager

On:→3:42:00 am With → Leave a Comment
Android is attaining to every hand from the rich to the common man. The Smart Phones running them remains smarter only when they are in your hands. The smartness is passed on to the next owner when you lose them. Restraining that Apple and Windows powered smart phones has taken care and launched phone finding option.

After a very long time Google Android operating system started running in our smartphones, Google has decided to launch a device manager which can competently detects the location of your device and give you the access of remote control to your device. Well, if you lose or don’t know the location of your android powered devices, you can carry out any of these operations on the device just by login into your  Gmail account. You can:

Android Device Manager

> Make your device ring with
highest volume, even if it is
    silent mode.
  > Locate the exact geographical
    position on a map.
  >If the above options don’t get
your device back, you can still
    secure your data with the
    option to erase it.
  >The service is available for
    Android 2.2 and above users.
  >Device manager enables a single Google account to manage many devices.

The availability of the service for devices from Android 2.2 is very useful and as simple as ever, Google did not trouble users with device control, here it is just our Google account. You may say that more facilities are provided from standard apps, but the service is not yet launched. The above features are the few of the lot.
Still, the time for such a service is quite delayed in Android devices.
Apple has the service “Find My iPhone”, where you can track your lost iPhone with the help of your iTunes account.

Similar service is available with Windows phone, ironically with the same name as Apple’s “Find My
Phone”
options. The Android Device manager service is expected to be launched by the end of August. Most importantly for using the service, we need to install an app from Google to computer.

Greatly and gradually Google is meeting up with the much expected of him, at lest I could be able to take absolute control of my Android devices either off hand or on hand, am not using the word "lost or stolen" cause am not yet to loose mine soon.

I am sure you have your say to this Google "Device Manager," your comments is highly welcome see you on my next post.

Few Facts About Android Smart Phones

On:→10:18:00 am With → 4 comments
Android are often called smart phones. These amazing handy devices are not made by one manufacturer because the android phones are not a brands of phone, but are cell phones that uses the android operating system to work. Android phones have specialized programs that lets them do a number of the wonderful things they do.
The OS is Linux based and is primarily designed to be used on mobile devices with touch screens. These includes the tablets phones, and even the laptop computers. It got its name because it was originally developed by a company called Android Incorporated.

Google was financially backing this company when they created this operating system. In 2005 Google purchased the rights to the working process outright from the company and in 2007 they unveiled the latest thing in working systems that was ultimately going to alter cell phone and how people used them from that point forward.

The Android operating operating, is an open source code. This means that this program is allowed to be used freely and altered  if desired, and also distributed by any device manufacturer wireless carriers and developers that require to do so. This open source code and permissive licensing allows lots of developers to keep generating applications for the  Android OS to make the devices that uses it to be able to do more for the people that owns them. As of late October 2012 there were actually over 700,000 applications for this operating system being used around the globe.

Of the largest reasons that android smart phones are taking the world by storm is that their technology is low cost, customizable, and lightweight operating systems that manufacturers and developers can use without them having to generate the item from scratch. Fundamentally, this means that the developers can generate devices to make use of this operating system and sell them to the general public at cheaper rate than in the event that they had to write their own operating system.

As a matter of fact, in 2012 it was determined that seventy percent of the cell phones being bought are operating on Android OS. People liked the technology and what it provides to them. Companies liked the cost and the ability to make use of the operating system freely so they can alter it and generate their own versions with no legal complications. This operating system changed the mobile phone world as we all know it.
